A renowned scholar in the philosophy of religion and ethics, Robert Merrihew Adams has taught and published in four areas: philosophy of religion, history of modern philosophy, ethics, and metaphysics. His books include The Virtue of Faith and Other Essays in Philosophical Theory (1987), Leibniz: Determinist, Theist, Idealist (1994) and Finite and Infinite Goods: A Framework for Ethics (1999).
