Stanley Katz is the Professor of Public and International Affairs with the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and is a leading authority on American legal and constitutional history. In addition to his interests in the effects of private philanthropy on public policy, he has also researched the behavior of non-governmental conflict resolution organizations in Northern Ireland, Israel and Palestine, and South Africa. Katz is President Emeritus of the American Council of Learned Societies, where he served eleven years and was honored for establishing exceptionally effective working relationships with leaders of research libraries.
