The African clawed frog, Xenopus, has told scientists a lot about how embryos develop and the biochemical reactions that take place during cell division. UC Berkeley Professor Richard Harland and bioinformaticist Uffe Hellsten of DOE's Joint Genome Institute discuss the role of Xenopus and what can be learned from its newly sequenced genome. (#19484)
