SummerFest La Jolla, under the artistic direction of violinist Cho-Liang Lin, presents an expansive three weeks of chamber music concerts featuring internationally renowned musicians, multi-disciplinary lectures, round table discussions, the Workshop (a program of daily coaching sessions for young chamber ensembles), family concerts, Composer-in-Residence and Visual Artist-in-Residence programs, pre-concert talks, and festive social events all enhanced by the interactions of artists and audience.
UCSD-TV and
La Jolla Music Society began their partnership during the 1999 SummerFest season. Since then, they have introduced television and web audiences in San Diego, the nation and around the globe to the well-known and emerging artists that visit the La Jolla festival each year.
UCSD-TV's SummerFest programs go far beyond the performance itself, taking you into the creative process and the minds of those who make it all happen. Programs premiere locally on UCSD-TV and nationally on UCTV the January following the SummerFest season, and all programs are permanently archived here for continued enjoyment.
